Week 87 #BECAUSEofHIM

I love Jesus Christ & that fast Sunday’s provide an opportunity to testify of Him & that He lives!
What an incredible week it’s been! We had some amazing lessons & I got to see an old mission companion! My boiiii Miceli aka McJelly aka Jelly Joe. We were in the greatest  tri-pan the world has ever seen w/ Elder Kellogg holdin it down in FOCO last year! We had the most memorable Flag Day of our lives testifyin of Jesus Christ & reminding everyone that it was Flag Day #GTFO (GetTheFlagOut). We also appeared in court together for the rebellious yung men we were goin out fishin without one of them licenses. Yeah, dats my dude. It was wonderful seeing him & catching up!

We taught Ben on Saturday & had a great lesson w/ him! He’s such a stud! We taught about more commandments but he already knew them all haha. There were a couple baptismal services going on at the church so we sat in so that he could watch that which was great for him to see. He said he really wants to be baptized but his circumstances of living w/ his girlfriend won’t allow him to & his lease isn’t up until August. We invited him to pray & fast for the Lord to provide a way for him to move out so he can go forward w/ being baptized. We’re praying for a miracle haha!

On Sunday Ben & Sulan both came to church! Sulan signed up to feed us along w/ the Grover’s, who are her neighbors, Sunday night & we got spoiled. It was a Chinese feast!! There was so much food, easily the most I’ve seen my whole mission. There were dumplings, noodles, rice, tofu, shrimp, beef, fish balls, cod, tripe (stomach lining), and more!! There were hot pots on the table & you grabbed what you wanted then dropped it into the pot & it was fully cooked in seconds. One of the coolest dinners of my whole mission no doubt!

We had a lesson w/ Sulan afterwards & she said that at church she felt so happy & peaceful. Her faith continues to be growing every week. We taught the Atonement of Jesus Christ & Repentance. It’s a slow process teaching Sulan because everything is brand new & she doesn’t have any background of God or religion. But once she does learn she retains incredibly well. I love being able to teach Sulan! At the end of the night she said the whole day had been so warming & peaceful for her. Sulan is such a loving & amazing woman!

Well transfers are tomorrow, nothings changing over here except we move out from the Leonard’s tomorrow which will be tough because they’re so loving & hospitable to us. They’ve been like a 2nd set of parents to me, I love & am so grateful for them. The new members we’re moving into have a basketball hoop indoors! 😍
