Week 19 Blessings of Nike

It was Gene's Birthday today so we went and visited him in the hospital and brought him his favorite pie and some bubbly "sparkling grape juice" cause that was all he wanted haha. He was really happy and looked a lot better, he said he thinks he'll come home tomorrow which is really exciting he's been there almost a week now!

Yooooo this was a phenomenal week!! AIright so the blessings of Nike lemme tell ya! So because of zone conference(which was dope) we had our P-Day on Thursday and we went to the Nike outlet store. Well we were leaving the store heading back to the truck and then we just hear this "Hey missionaries" and turn around and this woman is in front of Nike waving us over. She tells us that she made a deal with Heavenly Father that if she ever saw missionaries at a store she would pay for their stuff. So since we had already checked out she bought Elder Littlewood and I $50 gift cards! Shout out to Rachel we were so hype after that! So we go back to Nike today and as I'm about to check out I get embraced in this big hug and turn around and it's Zane Hansen and he's just like yo your stuff is on me! If you don't know Zane, Zane is such an awesome guy that works for CircusTrix the company I used to work for and also used to be one of my Young Men's leaders in the stake in Fresno before he moved to Utah. It was such a blessing seeing him there words can't even explain how shocked and happy I was to see him. So that's the blessings of Nike, you can bet I'll be there next week haha.

Christmas was wonderful! I'll tell ya a white Christmas sure is special! I loved seeing all my family together and being able to talk with them. Love them all and so grateful for their support.

We taught Vinta the plan of salvation on Thursday night and invited her to baptism. She said if she continues reading the Book of Mormon and feels good about it then she'll be baptized. The spirit was very strong during our lesson and it was comforting to her to hear the plan of salvation because of her dad recently passing.

We had a dinner Saturday night and our stake missionaries did a nativity show at it, I was a shepherd. Zone conference was really good! We talked a lot about faith which is one of my favorite things to talk about. Faith is ultimately the foundation upon everything that's built. Never lose your faith.

I had an amazing week and I'm hype to get to work this week. Love y'all.

Merry CHRISTmas!!

Well not too much too write about this week sorry :(

There's a really bad cold going around right now and well I caught it. I started getting sick Thursday night and today was the first day I felt I was starting to get over this sickness. So therefore not too much missionary work got done this week :(
Elder Littlewood did teach me how to do a 4x4 Rubik's cube while I was sick and I feel like a baller now haha.

We have a dinner on Saturday that the stake puts on for us to invite less active members and investigators to so we're excited for that and have been working on inviting people to that!

We had a lesson with Vinta planned for Saturday night but she canceled cause she picked up the urn of her father that day and said it was just too much. She did text us and told us when she saw her backyard she cried from all the work that we had done back there and how nice it looked so that was nice to hear. I'll have to take a pic and show y'all the before and after one of these times cause man that backyard was trashed, there wasn't  even a visible walkway and Elder Littlewood and I really did a solid job cleaning it up.

We found some good potential investigators during the couple days we were able to go out but they all want us to come back after the holiday season. So that's kinda the struggle at the moment is that everyone wants to wait until after the new year to start seeing us again.

I hope y'all have been enjoying the LightTheWorld challenge and it has been making your holiday season more meaningful! Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas! Remember why we celebrate Christmas and that is cause of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It is because of him that the great plan for us is possible. It's because of him that we are able to return to live with our Heavenly Father again. It's because of Christ that we have all we do. So please everyone, enjoy the holidays, spend precious time with your family, tell the ones you love that you love them, and take time to tell 1 person about our Savior Jesus Christ and what he means to you. That's my challenge to you.
love you all, have a Merry Christmas!!!

Week 17 Stance Socks On Socks On Socks Bruh

Wassup everybody hope y'all had an amazing week!

So Vinta texted us Wednesday morning telling us that her father had passed away that morning :( But she also said that the Book of Mormon has been helping bring her comfort and helping her during this tough time so that was awesome to hear! We didn't have the chance to meet with her because they were working on getting things ready for the service but we did a lot of service for them this week. We went over just about everyday and have been cleaning up their yard and it's looking so much better! Our ward also did an amazing job of stepping up when asked of! We asked them to help out with meals for Vinta's family and they were right there no hesitation so shout out to the Bison Ridge ward!

We been trying to get this guy named Howard to come to church with us but he keeps curvin us hard! He's a waiter at our favorite restaurant out here called Stuft Burger and Bar, and we go eat on Friday or Saturday's and always have him be our waiter. We talk with him and he's the nicest guy, and every time he tells us he's gonna come to church and then just curves us and doesn't show up or respond to our texts. Pretty salty over it not gonna lie, it's happened twice now, but we still gonna work on getting him to church.

Today we went to Ross for P-Day and I have never seen a Ross with more Stance socks y'all I was in Heaven. And they were all dope ones after NBA teams bless up.

Sendin my love from CO

Week 16 Littlewood In The Hood

We had transfers on Wednesday and I said my goodbye's to Elder Litster. My new comp is Elder Littlewood and yes high school was rough on the kid haha. We get people that laugh sometimes at his name out here its funny but he's said he's heard it all so he don't mind. He's from South Jordan, UT. He's a homie and we get along really well. We do a good job teaching together and the lessons flow great! This was an awesome week for us, we had a lot of success so I'm excited for the rest of this transfer!

Also got to see my boi Elder Beecher Halladay on Wednesday at transfers! Haven't seen my homie since day 1 coming into the field so that was hype!

We taught a lot of lessons this week. We taught an older lady named Helen who's 89 and is the sweetest thing! She loves to talk so can get sidetracked from lessons sometimes but we workin with her.

Saturday we went and did service for Vinta for about 3 hours and she told us how her dad went to the hospital on Sunday and had gangrene on his foot. It was tough on her cause her dad was all she had growing up and her mom was never around. So we offered her a blessing and she said we could come back that night and do a lesson and blessing. So we went back for the lesson that night and her boyfriend Danny who we hadn't had any contact with for almost 3 months was there too! So we taught both of them and they both were really getting into it which was great and they said they'd read the Book of Mormon and we could come back and teach them again next week! Then I gave Vinta a blessing and the spirit was really strong during that.

Sunday night at our dinner, Vinta's daughter Reoko called and told us to go to the hospital now in tears. We got there and they told us Viinta's dad had gone into cardiac arrest and had a hemorrhage in his brain and had to go into surgery immediately. We couldn't stay long but Vinta texted the next morning saying they took him off life support and are gonna let the Lord take him. So it's been a rough past couple of days for them but the members have been helping out a ton with comfort and meals. Please if you could remember them in your prayers.

We asked Gene if he wanted us to decorate his house for him and he told us no thats alright cause that's something his wife usually took care of. So when he went to work we went hard and decorated his place...boiiiii his face LIT up when he got home! He was so happy it was great!
Shout out to Elder Littlewood's parents for hookin us up with 12 days of Christmas gifts and decorations. I'll send pics neat week of em.

Love you all! Check out LightTheWorld and do it, it will bless your life!

Week 15 2nd Transfer He is staying with new companion Elder Littlewood

 Hey everyone,

We got transfer info the other day and I'm staying in Bison Ridge but Elder Litster is leaving. My new comp is gonna be Elder Littlewood and I'm so hype for this next transfer! So grateful to be staying in Bison Ridge with my homie Gene. Also my boi Elder Halladay from the MTC is getting moved into the same zone as me so we gon see each other at zone conference and we're so stoked! Ain't seen that boi in 3 months cause he been on the opposite side of the mission in Wyoming so I'm hype!

This week was a slower week I think due to Thanksgiving and lots of people being gone. We had recent convert lessons with Rebecca and the Bertagnole's and those are coming along great! We had a lesson planned with Vinta but that fell through cause she got called in to work.

Thanksgiving was a lot of fun! We had a Turkey Bowl with our ward and had about 25 youth and adults out there. It was sweet we got to play with President McMurray's sons that came out. Yo boi was out there puttin in work at QB! People was thinkin Tom Brady was out there. Nah for real tho it was a ton of fun! then we had dinner with Bishop Houghton and his family and that was great, such good food.

One of my teachers from the MTC Sister Petrie was visiting for Thanksgiving cause her brother married President McMurray's daughter so I got to see her on Sunday and chat with her a little bit. That was dope.

We went bowling today as a district reminded me of bowling back home with all the homies at AMF shout out to the boyz back home.

Hope everyone is as stoked as I am for Light The World! I love this time of year and am so excited the church is doing it again this year! I challenge everyone to go to mormon.org, watch the video, and get pumped about the Light The World campaign! It's perfect for remembering the Savior Jesus Christ during the holidays and for missionary work opportunities!

Much Love ❤
