Elder Riley Bennett: Week 83 “24” Personal Best...Beat It

Things are good over here. Starting to feel like we’re understanding the area & knowing the members. We spent the week meeting lots of members & we’ve got amazing members in our wards, we truly blessed.

Best part this week was we met with Ben & his girlfriend Elizabeth in the Soulier’s home, who’s their member fellow shippers. We taught the Restoration & had an awesome lesson! Ben had lots of questions that we were able to answer for him & he’s all the way up to 2 Nephi now. He texted us telling us that it made him happy that America is the holy land hahaha. Ben loves America he’s great. At the end of the lesson Elder Mugleston extended the invitation to Ben to be baptized & he was really excited for it! He’s got some hurdles to overcome cause him & his girlfriend at living together but he sincerely wants to live the commandments & be baptized. He said the closing Prayer & said, “Lord I want to be baptized on April 13th. Please give me the strength to do what I need to so I can live your commandments.” It was super sincere, Ben is awesome!

We had a blizzard on Wednesday & the city practically shutdown. Schools were canceled, the temple was closed, it was wild. But great day for us to go out & serve! We did lots of shoveling that day. We also got to teach seminary on Friday which was a ton of fun!

I got to see Steve & Jazmuhn one last time before they left for a New York. They came down for a day and took us out to lunch, it was good seeing them before they left. I also got to see “The Freakin AP” Ryan Reiswig! He was in town for the endowment of John Zone who I had the pleasure of interviewing for baptism last year, so proud of John for his dedication. He’s only missed church twice in his year since his baptism cause of problems getting rides haha what a stud! But it was so good seeing Ryan, he’s a Bako Boi & knows the Urmstons & is married now so it was dope catching up w/ him.
