Week 82 #KingzOfTheJunglešŸ¦

Proverbs 28:1
“The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.”

This week has been wild! It’s been a lot of adjusting to the new areas & getting out meeting a lot of the members which has been amazing! We’ve already met w/ lots of the members & there’s a lot of excitement about helping invite others to come unto Christ here so I’m really excited about the future here!! I have so much love for the people here, sure miss Cheyenne but it feels good to be back in CO! Something pretty cool is that President Crane is in my ward and his parents are in the temple Presidency in Fresno & are who I interviewed with before going thru for the 1st time so we got that sweet connection!

Training has been such a blast so far! My companion is Elder Mugleston (Muh-gluh-sten) & he’s from Springville, UT. He’s waiting on his Visa to go to New Zealand so he’ll prolly only be in our mission for 1-2 transfers. This kid is such a goon & so much fun to be with haha! He’s super enthusiastic about everything we do & always keepin things light. We’re really excited for this transfer, we’ve already seen so many miracles just in week 1!

First, we had our District Council meeting at the church on Friday and afterwards were eating lunch in the high council room when this man named Jay walks in & asked us if we were associated with the temple across the street. He then tells us he had been talking w/ his friend in SLC & said “I was told I’d be referred to as someone who’s an investigator.” Jay is a research analysts over at CSU & told us he knows that there is more scripture out there outside the Bible. He told us he was also gonna go online and order a Book of Mormon cause he really wanted to read it, we hooked him up.  So we ended up teaching him the Restoration & gave him a Chapel tour & he said he’s really excited to go to a church service!

Next, on Sunday we had a member who invited her co-worker who’s a returning Member who brought her boyfriend Ben along w/ her who isn’t a member. Ben doesn’t come from a super religious background but is very interested & has lots of questions. After sacrament Ben wanted us to teach him so we stepped into another room and read from The Book of Mormon w/ him. One of the biggest converting factors for someone is if they will sincerely read The Book of Mormon, so it’s extremely important yet can be extremely difficult to get them to do. But we tried out this new way of teaching & introducing The Book of Mormon that I had recently read about & it was extremely successful!! We texted Ben yesterday & he’s already up to 1 Nephi 10 & we’re meeting w/ him tomorrow!
I’m so grateful to be here in these wards & extremely excited about working here!! Much Love y’all!
Peace & Love,
