Week 96 Flag Day 2K19 πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

lag Day has come again & what a glorious day it was. As always, Flag Day was filled with many miracles. One of which was that we started teaching the Reiche’s (Pronounced Rich’s) who is a young couple in our ward who has a little boy named Carver. They never were very active growing up but their little boy has made them want to be an eternal family! So we’ve started meeting w/ them to teach them the lessons & help them w/ reaching that goal. They’re such an incredible family & the ward is doing an incredible job ministering to them. We’re excited to keep teaching them & watching them grow!

We had our service project of painting that barn on Wednesday & it was a ton of fun & also very meaningful to the family we did it for. The family’s name is the Bruce’s, they’re Catholic, & the mom, Lisa, her father has been in the hospital a lot lately. They were so grateful for our service & they texted us letting us know that her father passed away Friday. A very sad time for them but we are hopeful that it could lead to a teaching opportunity. Feels good being able to serve others especially at a critical time in their lives.
Also, not sure if I mentioned this last time but one of the lady’s we painted for named Sabrina, she invited us to come back on this upcoming Monday to be able to teach her so we’re excited for that! Service softens hearts!

We taught a woman named Kim who was a friend of Aubrey Leonard’ from high school who seemed super golden...until she went home talked to her parents & they freaked on her & showed her lots of anti & she told us she didn’t want to meet anymore. Ohhh good ol FOCO, classic. But it was such a powerful lesson we had w/ her & she felt the Spirit, we all did, & some day she’ll remember that & search for it so we ain’t sweatin πŸ˜€

Lastly, we had Zone Conference yesterday & President & Sister McMurray are officially on their farewell tour. This is their last set of Zone Conferences. They left us w/ their final testimonies & what a tender moment that was. I can’t put into words the impact they’ve had on me nor the gratitude I have for them other than I feel like I have another set of parents that love me.
I love Jesus & know he has an infinite love for us all. He lives. Peace & Love y’all 🀟
